Josh Allen outlasted Matthew Stafford in arguably the best game of the 2026 NFL regular season to date.

Allen and the Buffalo Bills defeated Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams 37-34 in an overtime thriller that had every twist and turn you could have imagined.

Tyler Bass finished off the win for the Bills with a 45-yard field goal on the first play out of the two-minute warning in overtime.

The Rams earned an advantage in overtime when James Cook was forced into his second fumble of the game.

The turnover allowed the Rams the chance to either end the game in a field goal or touchdown.

However, Harrison Mevis' game-winning field goal attempt was blocked by Greg Rousseau.

That gave the Bills their second possession of the extra period, which they turned into Bass' game-winning kick.

The Bills and Rams traded touchdowns on the final six drives of regulation.

Kyren Williams sent the game to overtime with a one-yard touchdown run. That capped an incredible eight-play, 63-yard drive that took one minute and 34 seconds.

Matthew Stafford carved up the Bills defense for a majority of the game-tying drive.

James Cook put the Bills in the lead late in the fourth on a five-yard touchdown run, but the AFC East side left too much time on the clock for Stafford and Co. to produce a response.

Puka Nacua, Josh Allen and Davante Adams all scored touchdowns in a wild back-and-forth fourth quarter.

Stafford's fourth-quarter scoring pass to Adams gave him 150 passing touchdowns for two different franchises.

Nacua had the most explosive day of any of the stars on the field. He had 17 catches for 138 yards and a touchdown.

The fourth quarter alone produced 35 points. The second half as a whole had 48 points.

The first half was far less explosive with just one touchdown on each side and a pair of field goals by the Bills.

Adams scored the first touchdown of the game. He and Cook were the only two players to have multiple touchdowns in the contest.

Buffalo moved to 4-1 with the victory and will head to Las Vegas to play the Raiders in Week 6. The 2-3 Rams will attempt to recover from the loss at home against the Arizona Cardinals.
