49ers Called 'Best Team' in NFL by Seahawks Personnel Despite NFC West Rivalry, Schefter Says

The San Francisco 49ers defeated the defending champion Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, 32-29, remaining perfect on the season at 5-0.

And that earned them some respect from their NFC West rivals.

"There were people in the Seahawks organization over the weekend saying that the Niners are the best team in football," ESPN's Adam Schefter said during Monday morning's Get Up (0:36 mark). "The best team in football. ... I said to myself, 'Whoa, the Seahawks are pretty good too.' And they said, 'This Niners team is pretty great.'"

The season is young, of course, but the Niners now have wins over the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos and Seahawks to start the 2026 season, three of the four teams from last year's Conference Championship games. That has earned them their due flowers.
