Myles Garrett Injury Update, Latest Timeline to Return Revealed by Rams' Sean McVay
The Los Angeles Rams could be without star pass-rusher Myles Garrett for a little while longer.
Rams head coach Sean McVay told reporters Saturday that Garrett isn't expected to return to practice in the week leading up to an Oct. 18 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, per Adam Grosbard of the Los Angeles Daily News.
McVay confirmed that Garrett is recovering on track, but it doesn't seem as though he'll be ready to suit up against Arizona.
The seven-time Pro Bowler was placed on injured reserve after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery following a season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
The Rams' matchup with the Buffalo Bills on Monday will mark their fourth game since Garrett's IR placement, meaning that he'll be eligible to make his return against the Cardinals.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport previously reported that Garrett faced a six-week recovery timeline after undergoing the knee procedure, which could also force him to miss a Week 7 game against the Las Vegas Raiders and Week 8 clash with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The two-time Defensive Player of the Year is beginning his first season as a member of the Rams after they acquired him in a blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Browns on June 1.
In 2025, Garrett racked up 60 tackles and 33 tackles for loss while setting a new NFL single-season record with 23 sacks.
He has yet to share the field with Aaron Donald, who came out of retirement to join the Rams once again ahead of his 2026 campaign. Donald missed Week 1 against San Francisco before returning to play in two contests, recording one tackle for loss and one quarterback hit.
Los Angeles sits at 2-2 through four weeks.
