Kyrie Irving Shouts Out Valkyries for Advancing to WNBA Finals, 'Got a Lifelong Supporter Now!'

The Golden State Valkyries earned a new fan after punching their ticket to the WNBA Finals on Friday.

Following the Valkyries' series-clinching win over the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA semifinals, Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving took to social media to show love for the expansion team.

"Shoutout to the [Valkyries]," Iriving wrote. "Yall really are like that!! Got a lifelong supporter now!"

The Valkyries are in just their second season as a WNBA franchise, but that hasn't stopped them from establishing themselves as one of the best teams in the league. After reaching the playoffs last year, Golden State finished second in the WNBA during the regular season.

The Valkyries downed the Dallas Wings in the first round before sweeping the defending champion Aces and five-time MVP A'ja Wilson.

Led by arguably the best defense in the WNBA, the Valkyries will look to end their season on top, but they'll have to get through the Atlanta Dream, who have yet to lose a game in the playoffs so far.
