Dua Lipa, Callum Turner Take Photo With MLB Superfan 'Marlins Man' During Yankees' ALDS G3 vs. Rays
Yankee Stadium on Wednesday featured a superstar meeting between MLB superfan Marlins Man, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner during the Tampa Bay Rays-New York Yankees playoff game.
Marlins Man, aka Laurence Leavy, posted a selfie from his seats behind home plate with the recently-married celebrity couple even though he "had no idea" who they were.
Marlins Man also said Dua Lipa was "super nice" and maybe the "best ever celebrity" he's met.
At one point, Marlins Man responded to someone on X by pointing out this was Dua Lipa's first-ever MLB game and first time eating a hot dog.
Turner and Dua Lipa got some help from Yankees fans about the customs of the game, including standing up and cheering when a hitter on the opposing team gets two strikes against them.
This has been a busy week for Dua Lipa, who made it to the Bronx on Wednesday night after visiting Paris two days earlier for the Chanel fashion show.
Turner spent part of his summer in the tri-state area working on the remake of Possession that filmed in New Jersey ahead of its planned release in August 2027.
Unfortunately for the Yankees, the presence of Turner and Dua Lipa was not enough to change their fortunes. Their season ended with a 4-3 loss to the Rays in Game 3 of the ALDS.
