Latest NFL Odds and Picks Factoring in New Weather Forecasts for Week 5 Schedule

We're officially one month into the 2026 NFL season, and we're finally beginning to get an idea of which teams are good and which are not—the league has five winless teams and only three undefeated squads.

Of course, this doesn't mean that every game moving forward will be easily predictable. On the contrary, it feels like most teams have a chance to win on any given day this season.

With fall now in full effect, the weather is becoming equally unpredictable and will start to impact games.

Here, you'll find a look at the information you need to know for Week 5, including predictions and forecast information from The Weather Channel.

Week 5 Preview

Rams Eagles Football
Rams QB Matthew Stafford

While playoff races are nowhere near close to being decided, Week 5 will be a pivotal week for several teams. Five franchises enter the week still in search of their first wins.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of them, and they'll open the schedule against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night. On paper, this feels like a major mismatch in favor of the Cowboys, especially with Tampa starting undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels—Baker Mayfield is out with a dislocated thumb.

However, Dallas' defense remains a major liability, and Daniels' scrambling ability could make the Week 5 opener more exciting, and closer, than expected.

Sunday's action will open with a London morning game between the surging Jacksonville Jaguars and the injured Philadelphia Eagles. The list of injured Eagles now includes Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, Tank Bigsby, Cam Jurgens, Landon Dickerson, Jonathan Greenard, and Quinyon Mitchell.

Sunday afternoon will bring a battle of winless teams when the Houston Texans clash with the Tennessee Titans. Barring the unfortunate event of a tie, at least one winless squad should get in the win column this week.

The Miami Dolphins will have a chance to get their first win against the Cincinnati Bengals, who saw star receivers Ja'Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (adductor) injured in Week 4. The Los Angeles Chargers will try to get their first victory in the late afternoon against the banged-up Denver Broncos.

Denver saw standouts Pat Surtain II, Riley Moss, and Pat Bryant suffer injuries in Week 4.

Sunday night's game will feature the Atlanta Falcons, who just embarrassed the New Orleans Saints in prime time on Monday. The Baltimore Ravens could still present a challenge, but they're unlikely to have star quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson is dealing with an ankle injury and could end up missing multiple games, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Week 5 slate will end with a thriller between the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. Buffalo is coming off its first loss of the season and will test a Rams team that has fallen short of expectations thus far. However, Los Angeles has Puka Nacua back and appeared to find a spark in the second half against the Eagles this past Sunday.

Weather may not be a major factor this week, especially since the Falcons and Arizona Cardinals can close off their stadiums if rain persists. Rain could have an impact on the NFC East showdown between the New York Giants and Washington Commanders, however.

In all, it's shaping up to be a fun week that, if this year's trends hold, will bring another round of surprising finishes.
