Brendan Sorsby Posts Workout Video Preparing for 2027 NFL Draft After Texas Tech Exit
Following his exit from Texas Tech over the offseason, Brendan Sorsby is turning his attention towards the 2027 NFL draft.
The quarterback posted a video of himself working out, saying that he wants to "Leave the past in the past. Learn from it, grow from it."
After admitting to placing thousands of bets totaling more than $90,000 while in college, Sorsby received a temporary injunction against the NCAA that would have allowed him to play the 2026 season.
He instead chose to pursue the NFL via the supplemental draft, but the league opted not to hold one. That meant Sorsby would have to wait until 2027 to be drafted.
Sorsby was one of the top transfers in college football this offseason after throwing for 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns and five interceptions along with 580 rushing yards and nine scores on the ground with Cincinnati in 2025.
His ideal scenario would have been to prove himself as a top pick with the Red Raiders, but he'll instead have to hope an NFL team is willing to take a chance on him after a year away from the game.
