Joe Burrow Says 'This Isn't Armageddon' After Bengals' Loss to Jaguars amid Chase, Higgins Injuries
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is trying to remain even-keeled after a costly 22-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Beyond the fact Cincinnati dropped to 2-2 on the season, wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase suffered a concussion and Tee Higgins picked up an adductor injury.
"We had our opportunities in the last two weeks, but this isn't Armageddon or anything," Burrow told reporters. "We're still in a great spot [and] feel really good about our team."

The three-time Pro Bowler added the Bengals are "very confident" and noted it's still early into the season.
"We're 2-2, but nobody wins a championship after Week 4," he said.
Strong starts haven't been a feature of Burrow era in Cincinnati, and the Bengals have overcome them in the past. The team was 3-2 to open 2021 and eventually reached the Super Bowl. The following season, it went from a 2-3 record to the AFC title game.
The 0-4 Miami Dolphins are next on the schedule for the Bengals, and their Week 6 bye couldn't be better timed within the context of Chase and Higgins' injuries.
There were some concerning signs from Sunday's contest, namely the lack of offensive balance. Chase Brown ran for 10 yards on nine carries, while Burrow attempted 54 passes. The defense also allowed six yards per play to the Jags offense.
On the whole, the Bengals have at least shown enough that leads you to believe they can snap their three-year playoff drought. And nobody sets the tone inside the locker room more than Burrow. His outward confidence should rub off on his teammates.
