Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce React to Tyreek Hill, Chiefs Contract Rumors After Thornton Injury
A number of prominent Kansas City Chiefs would be more than open to a reunion with veteran wideout Tyreek Hill this season.
"That's out of my hands, but I know I'd love to have 'The Cheetah' back in this building," tight end Travis Kelce told The Athletic's Mike Silver. "He's a brother. He's one of those people who, when he sets his mind to something, he usually delivers. You saw that with Miami, when all the haters were saying he couldn't play and he went and had his best year. I'd be excited by what he could do (here)."

OBJ Calls Out Giants After Release
It was a timely conversation, given the team suffered a pair of injuries to receivers during Sunday's 30-27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Tyquan Thornton dislocated his ankle and is facing a lengthy absence, while Rashee Rice strained his hamstring.
In other words, the team suddenly finds itself in need of wideout depth, and Hill remains a free agent as he recovers from last season's severe knee injury.
"I have no idea (if signing Hill would happen), but it'd be pretty cool," Patrick Mahomes told Silver.
"I hope we do," defensive tackle Chris Jones added.
As for Hill himself, he offered up this cryptic post on social media during the Chiefs' game:
Hill, 32, spent his first six NFL seasons in Kansas City, forming a dynamic partnership with Mahomes. While it's fair to question if he'll ever be anything close to the dynamic playmaker he was in his prime, given his age and the knee injury he's recovering from, the Chiefs certainly could use some more options out wide.
And Silver reported that "several high-ranking organizational sources confirmed Sunday night that they are very interested in signing Hill," so it may only be a matter of time before the reunion is finalized.
