Dodgers vs. Braves Game 1 Among Hottest Games in MLB Playoff History amid Scorching LA Weather

Game 1 of the National League Division Series between the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers is being played in historically warm weather.

Per Elias Sports (h/t Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times), the first-pitch temperature for Saturday's game was 100 degrees, making it the second-hottest MLB playoff game on record:

Before the game, the Dodgers reminded fans to prepare for the heat if they were going to be in attendance at Dodger Stadium:

According to The Weather Channel, temperatures are expected to climb north of 100 degrees again on Sunday for Game 2.

Saturday marked the start of the Dodgers' attempt to three-peat, as they are the reigning World Series champions from both 2024 and 2025.
