Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark appeared unhappy to see her team finish Thursday night's elimination loss to the Las Vegas Aces having been called for eight more fouls than the defending champions.

The Fever were called for 27 fouls, while the Aces were flagged 19 times in their 94-83 win in Game 3 of the first round.

Fever coach Stephanie White pointed out after the elimination loss the Aces had taken 35 free throws to the Fever's 20.

"Hm," Clark responded. "Interesting."

The Aces closed out the win having gone 28-for-35 from the foul line, while the Fever made 14 of their 20 attempts.

Clark was visibly frustrated with officials late in the game after no foul was called on a play during which an inadvertent elbow from the Aces' Jewell Loyd left her with a bloodied mouth.

Clark said she planned to turn her attention to getting some rest this offseason after a busy year following her return from the injuries that limited her during her sophomore WNBA campaign.

"I didn't take a break when our season ended last year. So, I've been going for almost, what, a year and a half... I haven't taken a break from the game in a really long time," Clark said Thursday night. "It's been a long grind, but a really fun one, and a very rewarding one."

Clark continued, "I didn't play much last year, but I was able to come out here and put together the best season I've had, and perform at a really high level, and basically get better in every area.

"Still feel like I have so many areas to improve, so I guess that's the most exciting part moving forward. You know I love the work. I love being in the gym. So I'll probably be kicked out for a little white, but we'll get back to it."

This marks the second straight season in which the Fever, who went to the semifinals last season without an injured Clark, have been eliminated by the Aces.

The Aces will now begin preparing for a semifinal matchup against the Golden State Valkyries or Dallas Wings.
