WWE's Royce Keys Has Arrived and The Bloodline Should Be Worried

Recently, Royce Keys and his new stable have emerged as a major threat to The Bloodline, and no one is safe.

The leader of the 946 has effectively recruited two heavy hitters and used the element of surprise to beat Jacob Fatu and The Usos at their own game. While The Bloodline has dominated Raw and SmackDown, this is the most vulnerable the group has ever looked.

Pro wrestling stables have been a fixture on WWE programming during the Triple H era. For the last four years, the company has developed teams like Damage CTRL, The Judgement Day, and The Vision, particularly in the lead-up to Survivor Series.

The 946 is the latest stable to run roughshod on Monday nights ahead of the 2026 men's WarGames match. It isn't a new approach, but it's a tremendous use of the powerhouse from East Palo Alto, CA.

A Drastic Change of Pace

Keys has capitalized on his screen time as a standout in the main event segments of WWE's flagship series. His current push is a far cry from the uncertainty surrounding his start with the company.

In January, he left All Elite Wrestling and debuted as entrant number 14 in the men's Royal Rumble match. Keys eliminated Damian Priest, a former world champion, proving he belonged on the big stage.

However, the timing of his arrival wasn't ideal because he didn't factor into plans for WrestleMania 42. This meant the new signee would have to patiently wait a few months to start a noteworthy storyline with Fatu.

Keys' patience was ultimately rewarded as their brutal street fight led to his return with OTM, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, to close the Aug. 24 episode of Raw. The new trio made a statement, taking out everyone in the ring, including his former allies LA Knight and Solo Sikoa.

Since their debut, the 946 has become the brand's most dangerous and unpredictable stable with a penchant for violence and wanton destruction. The latest member, Jaida Parker, nearly committed vehicular homicide on national television this week.

Nobody Is Safe

The 946's introduction works so well because we've seen so many protagonists respond rationally to The Bloodline's repeated attacks. Roman Reigns finally pushed the wrong man over the edge, and the consequences have been swift.

Keys isn't trying to reason with them or trying to appeal to Adam Pearce. He has taken action into his own hands and exacted revenge on anyone who didn't help him. Unlike Cody Rhodes or many others, the relative newcomer isn't trying to take Reigns' title to remove his hold on Raw.

Instead, Keys has sought to decimate and humiliate his opponents at every turn. The 946 is more vicious than any other opposition The Bloodline has faced because they're willing to take a scorched-earth approach.

This could play into the outcome of Reigns' upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match at Money in the Bank. WWE has put a lot of effort into legitimizing Keys and his stable as a volatile group, similar to fan favorites from The Attitude Era.

It's the over-the-top backstage drama that the company is known for, and it's great to see a fresh face in the mix. It took some time, but Keys has re-emerged as a significant figure with a clear plan of attack.

The Bay Area native is no longer the muscle in someone else's crew. He's the leader, and he's coming for everything. Everyone should be worried about what he will do to prove it in a WarGames match.
