Josh Hart Drops Epic Cam Schlittler Quote After Yankees Beat Red Sox to Advance in 2026 MLB Playoffs

Josh Hart has New York Yankees fever during the 2026 MLB playoffs, and he clearly believes in Cam Schlittler's ability to carry the Bronx Bombers to a championship.

"I know Jesus is at God's right hand, but I think Cam Schlittler might be at his left," the New York Knicks guard told reporters Thursday while revealing he plans on attending Game 3 of the Yankees' American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Schlittler received MVP chants from the fans at Yankee Stadium while dominating the archrival Boston Red Sox during Game 1 of their AL Wild Card Series.

The right-hander allowed just two hits and one walk to go with 10 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work to set the tone in a short series that ended in a sweep. The performance further drove home his status as arguably the best pitcher in the game who will take home the American League Cy Young this season.

Schlittler finished the campaign with a 1.95 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 239 strikeouts in 193.2 innings and looked just as unhittable in his first playoff start of 2026.

If he continues to pitch at that level, perhaps the Yankees can join Hart and the Knicks as a New York team to win a championship this year.

He is certainly hoping that is the case:

It won't be easy for Schlittler and the Yankees facing the top-seeded Rays in the next round, but they will have an NBA champion in their corner.
