Terrell Owens Claps Back at Cris Carter, Deion Sanders Weighs In as Video, Comments Go Viral
Never one to shy away from a discussion, Terrell Owens has put himself in a social media battle with Cris Carter relating back to comments the latter made after a playoff game from January 1998.
On the latest episode of his Fully Loaded podcast, Carter said he "hasn't missed out" on anything by not talking to Owens in response to Owens saying he "can't stand" the Minnesota Vikings legend.

That prompted Owens to clap back in a post on X by quote tweeting the video of Carter's comments and writing he hasn't "missed out on anything not talking to you either."
Their bickering caught the attention of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, who had plenty of experience from his playing days going up against both Owens and Carter, and urged them to "replace the hate with Love & respect" toward each other.
The origin of the situation appears to stem from Owens recounting a story in which a reporter told him after a Vikings playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers in January 1998 that Carter said Minnesota's cornerbacks "made a mediocre receiver look like a Pro Bowler."
It's not clear which 49ers receiver Carter was said to be describing as mediocre. J.J. Stokes was the one who led the team in receiving yards with 101 in the game. Owens, who was in his second NFL season at that point, had four catches for 49 yards and one touchdown.
San Francisco won the game 38-22 to advance to the NFC Championship Game.
