Angel Reese just won her first playoff series of her career, but she doesn't plan on stopping any time soon.

"This is what I came here for," she said after helping lead the Atlanta Dream to a first-round sweep of the Washington Mystics in Wednesday's Game 2. "We wanted to get out of the first round, but it's not where we're going to stop."

Atlanta cruised to a 93-75 victory to finish the quick two-game sweep to advance past the first round for the first time since the 2018 season.

And Reese was a major part of that with 15 points, seven rebounds, three blocks and two assists to go along with a game-best plus-26 plus-minus total. All five Dream starters scored in double figures in a balanced effort, which ultimately overwhelmed Washington.

Allisha Gray finished with a team-high 22 points behind three made three-pointers, while Jordin Canada stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds and three steals.

Atlanta looked like a team that could challenge for a title with so many starters playing at such a high level, and it may have received something of a break when the eighth-seeded New York Liberty upset the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx.

That means the Dream will start the next series at home, although the Liberty are far from a traditional No. 8 seed.

They are loaded with star power with Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones and had no trouble with the Lynx in a two-game sweep. It will be anything but an easy matchup for the Dream, but they have enough star power of their own to win another playoff series.

Reese is ready to do just that.
