All Out took place a few days ago on Saturday, and while there was a heavy focus on the fallout from the show, something else took precedence this week.

Sunday, fans and wrestlers around the world were shocked and saddened when the news of Pac's death broke.

Tributes have been shared by fans and wrestlers alike, and Wednesday's episode of Dynamite was dedicated to his memory. Tony Khan also booked a special match between Will Ospreay and Ricochet, two of Pac's most talented rivals.

It's been a sad few weeks in the wrestling world with the passing of Andy "The Butcher" Williams and now Benjamin "Pac" Satterley, but their legacies will live on forever.

Let's take a look at what went down on this week's Dynamite.

Rest in Peace, Benjamin Satterly

The show opened with Excalibur giving a speech about Pac from the announce table as the crowd chanted Pac's name. We then went to Tony Schiavone in the ring with a framed picture of Pac next to a huge memorial bouquet.

Schiavone talked about the example Pac set for the locker room and the impression he left on everyone at AEW. He said this week's episode is for him.

He then threw to a moment from All Out with Jon Moxley that ended up being the final thing Pac filmed for the company. It was a promo from Mox focused on Will Ospreay, but the words of the promo were strangely relevant. Pac was the last of the group to walk off screen.

Schiavone asked for silence during a 10-bell salute. The entire roster stood on the stage wearing Pac shirts. Many of them were crying or close to it. Moxley then made his way to the ring for the first match.

We never know how long we have, and it feels like we have had constant reminders lately that we can't take things for granted.

Jon Moxley vs. Orange Cassidy

2 of 2

The opening contest saw Moxley put his Continental Championship on the line against Orange Cassidy. OC had a very memorable match against Pac some time ago at Revolution 2020, and Mox's ties to Pac are obvious.

As Mox and OC started to feel each other out with some lockups, the announcers talked about the mood backstage throughout the day and how everyone is trying to live up to Pac's work ethic.

Despite Moxley having a clear size and power advantage, they worked this like a competitive match with a lot of technical wrestling.

We all know how good Mox is, and we all know how good OC is, too. They might have very different styles, but they are both pros who can adapt, so them putting on a good match is the least surprising thing about this.

At a time when everyone is sad, Moxley and Cassidy managed to inject some humor into the match and get the crowd in the right mindset. They knew the assignment and delivered in every way.

There's really nothing to complain about with this. It was good, solid wrestling that entertained the crowd and made both wrestlers look strong. You can't ask for much more from a match. Mox scored a clean win, and when it was over, he sat in the ring and looked very emotional.

That is when Bryan Danielson's music hit. The American Dragon came out wearing a Pac shirt and stood across the ring from Moxley. They embraced as the crowd cheered.

Result:ย Moxley defeated Cassidy

Grade:ย A

Notable Moments and Observations

  • It's interesting to note that Mox and OC have the most singles wins of anyone in AEW, with Mox having the edge over OC in the stats.
  • The exchange of near-falls was good. It didn't feel excessive like that spot can sometimes.
  • The crowd was clearly sad but still tried to bring some energy to make the show fun. It's a tough thing to do in this situation, but everyone in attendance did a good job making sure the show felt like something Pac would enjoy.
  • Mox mocking OC's weak kicks was hilarious.
  • Mox trying to use Pac's Brutalizer, and then OC doing the same thing, was a nice touch.
