Bengals' Joe Burrow Responds After Stat About Lack of 4th-Quarter Comebacks Goes Viral

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow declined to express worry about how he handles clutch situations after getting strip-sacked in the final minute of a Week 3 defeat by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"I feel like I'm pretty good in those moments," Burrow told reporters when asked Wednesday about his play when the Bengals are trailing in the fourth quarter.

Burrow continued, "I'm really confident in myself in those moments, and typically we're going to try and get it done."

The Bengals quarterback's comments came after PFWA writer Scott Kacsmar went viral for a social media post in which he reported Burrow has only led the Bengals to one victory in which the team was trailing within the last eight minutes.

That stat, of course, doesn't include full context:

The Bengals went down by three points late last Sunday when the Steelers took advantage of a flubbed punt by kicking a go-ahead field goal with 2:15 left in regulation.

Burrow marched his team halfway downfield on their final drive before Derrick Harmon forced a fumble that was recovered by the Steelers.

The Bengals led for the majority of the team's season-opening wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans.

The team will look to build on those victories, while avoiding letting the Jacksonville Jaguars add to their total of eight sacks through three games, when Week 4 kicks off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET in Cincinnati.
