New Marvin Harrison Jr. Trade Rumors on Cardinals WR's Value amid Increasing Buzz

Amid a lackluster start to the 2026 season for Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., many are wondering about his future with the franchise.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that teams exploring the trade market are "continuing to watch the Marvin Harrison Jr. situation closely, wondering if he would become available." The 2024 No. 4 pick reportedly "would have a market, though not for a high pick (possibly a quality Day 3 pick, as one team forecasted)."

Through three games this season, Harrison has just four catches for 73 yards and no touchdowns. Three of his catches came in Arizona's Week 3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Despite his recent slight uptick, Fowler noted that tight end Trey McBride and wide receiver Michael Wilson "are clearly the Cardinals' primary options."

Harrison's descent down the depth chart is surprising after he was viewed as a can't-miss prospect coming out of Ohio State. Fowler reported that teams "are still trying to assess what has happened" to the 24-year-old after he showed so much promise before entering the NFL.

"I don't think one scout expected this. I didn't see all the drops and lack of competing [in college]," one team evaluator said of Harrison. "Very weird. Probably needs a fresh start. Looks too big for him right now."

Fowler added that Harrison "is a player to monitor closer to the deadline" on Nov. 10. If he continues to struggle in Arizona's offense, his time in the desert could come to an end sooner than anyone expected.

The Cardinals (1-2) will try to end their two-game skid when they meet the New York Giants (2-1) on Sunday.
