A'ja Wilson Reacts to Fan Altercation After Viral Video From Aces Loss as Fever Release Statement

Las Vegas Aces superstar A'ja Wilson addressed her verbal altercation with an Indiana Fever fan during Tuesday's 99-89 loss in the WNBA playoffs, which resulted in her being given a technical foul.

Wilson said the fan was stepping toward her and pointing at her, calling the behavior unacceptable:

The Fever said in a statement that the fan was not ultimately removed from the game after it was determined that the Fan Code of Conduct wasn't violated:

Wilson said she apologized to her teammates for getting a technical.

"But it's just certain things I'm not going to allow, anymore," she added. "Because it's just unacceptable. So don't... you don't know me, at all, to come and step towards me and point at me and say anything, out of your mouth, to me."

As for the game itself, Wilson (22 points, nine rebounds, three steals) and Jackie Young (31 points, five assists) led the way for the defending champs, though it wasn't enough to topple the Fever. Caitlin Clark (27 points, 15 assists, seven rebounds) was fantastic in the win, while Kelsey Mitchell added 26 points.

The series is now tied at a game apiece, with the decisive Game 3 on Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET (USA) in Las Vegas.
