Latest NFL Odds and Picks Factoring in New Weather Forecasts for Week 4 Schedule

The 2026 NFL season has been wildly unpredictable thus far, due, in part, to the rash of injuries that have already occurred. Of course, injuries haven't explained all of the surprises we've seen through three weeks.

The Las Vegas Raiders, for example, are undefeated and have already won as many games as they did all of last season.

There are, however, several injury situations worth watching ahead of Week 4. With the calendar set to flip to October, weather will increasingly become a factor in the coming weeks.

Week 4 Preview

Week 4 will bring several intriguing matchups, starting with a Thursday night battle for first place in the AFC North. The Pittsburgh Steelers bounced back from a dreadful Week 2 outing to upset the Cincinnati Bengals at home on Sunday. The Cleveland Browns, meanwhile, have won two straight since looking like the worst team in the league in their Week 1 loss.

The Browns will have the advantage of being at home on a short week. However, Pittsburgh will unleash its aggressive defense against a suspect offensive line and a mistake-prone quarterback in Deshaun Watson.

The Indianapolis Colts will battle the Washington Commanders at Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday morning. Both teams got their first wins of the season in Week 3, but Washington will again roll with backup quarterback Marcus Mariota.

Jayden Daniels is dealing with a dislocated elbow and is one of several key players likely to miss Week 4. New York Jets running back Breece Hall (quad) and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (ankle) are other notable players to watch.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield will be out with a dislocated thumb, meaning undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels will get the start against the Green Bay Packers.

Sunday afternoon will bring a thrilling battle between the upstart Las Vegas Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs, both 3-0 and fighting for the top spot in the AFC West. The Denver Broncos will also face the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers in a matchup of terrific defenses.

Sunday night's game between the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers might be the only contest significantly impacted by weather, as rain is currently in the forecast. Expect offensive fireworks in that matchup, largely because Detroit is loaded offensively and has struggled defensively. Bryce Young and the Panthers offense have been terrific for most of the season but hit a speed bump in Week 3.

The Atlanta Falcons got their first win of the season last Thursday in Michael Penix Jr.'s 2026 debut. They'll visit Tyler Shough and a talented New Orleans Saints squad that has fallen just short in two of three games. The Saints will have to finish stronger if they hope to close Week 4 with a win.

Atlanta and New Orleans are both looking to get to .500 this week. The Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers, and Miami Dolphins are still searching for their first victories of the season.
