Cowboys' Brian Schottenheimer Gives Brutally Honest Grade for Play-Calling in Loss to Ravens

Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer was highly critical of his offensive play-calling following Sunday's 34-31 loss against the Baltimore Ravens in Rio de Janeiro.

"I give it an F," he told reporters.

The Cowboys are going to feel like they let one slip away in Brazil.

A controversial pass interference call against the Ravens gave Dallas the ball at the Baltimore 2-yard line with just 23 seconds remaining, with the Cowboys trailing by three. But on the ensuing plays Prescott threw an incompletion, rushed for two yards after being forced out of the pocket and threw another incompletion out of the side of the end zone despite appearing to have George Pickens open.

The Cowboys settled for a field goal, expecting to duke it out in overtime. But Brandon Aubrey's touchback gave the Ravens the ball at their own 35 and Lamar Jackson promptly completed a 27-yard pass to Zay Flowers before calling a timeout with just one second remaining. Tyler Loop than hit a 56-yard field goal, giving Baltimore the victory.

"I'm disappointed as hell right now because of the pain in that locker room," Schottenheimer told reporters. "... This has been a very cool trip, I just wish would've come out with a win. This team is gonna stick together because of the men in that room."

Prescott told reporters after the game that the Cowboys should have been able to end the game on their final offensive drive:
