The Atlanta Falcons pulled off an upset victory over the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, winning by the final score of 35-14 at Lambeau Field.

Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. made his season debut after recovering from a torn ACL, playing his first game since Nov. 2025.

Atlanta was able to emerge victorious after entering the contest as 4.5-point underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Matthew Golden were among the standout fantasy football performers in the game.

With the win, Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski improved to 6-0 in Thursday night games.

Penix's return didn't start on a high note, as he was picked off by Packers safety Xavier McKinney on Atlanta's opening drive.

Both teams traded punts before the Packers entered the end zone first, as Jordan Love connected with Christian Watson for a short touchdown.

The Falcons didn't take long to respond, immediately going on an 85-yard drive that ended with a three-yard touchdown run by Robinson.

Green Bay's running backs struggled to match his production, amassing a mere 17 yards on the ground as a team. The Packers also averaged just 1.9 yards per carry.

Atlanta eventually took its first lead of the night with a field goal in the second quarter, while Green Bay's game-tying field goal attempt was later blocked.

The Falcons' defense stifled the Packers throughout the first half, forcing another Green Bay punt before Penix found Austin Hooper for a five-yard score.

Atlanta led 17-7 at halftime.

The Packers appeared to be gaining momentum to start the third quarter, driving to the Falcons' seven-yard line. Green Bay came up empty-handed after failing to convert on fourth down, though.

Atlanta extended its advantage to 17 points on the team's next possession, as Brian Robinson Jr. picked up a seven-yard rushing touchdown of his own.

The Packers attempted to mount a late comeback after Love hit Matthew Golden for a 15-yard touchdown, but the Falcons eventually put the game out of reach with a 67-yard drive that was capped off by Bijan's second score of the night.

Atlanta was able to routinely move the ball down the field, finishing with 498 total yards while averaging 7.5 yards per play. The Falcons picked up 25 first downs across 11 drives.

The Packers couldn't keep up, converting just six of their 15 opportunities on third down.

Atlanta and Green Bay both sit at 1-2 following Thursday's result.
