Predictions for Ospreay, CM Punk and WWE Worlds Collide vs. AEW All Out's Battle for Chicago

WWE and AEW have had shows running at the same time before, but this is the first time both companies will be in the same city at the same time.

Saturday night will see AEW hold its annual All Out PPV, and WWE will put on its Worlds Collide event featuring talents from NXT, WWE and AAA.

Not only will both promotions have a show on the same day, but it all takes place in CM Punk's hometown of Chicago, so he has been booked on Worlds Collide to help give the show a boost in star power.

Let's go through the card for each show and make some predictions.

Worlds Collide: Women's Championship

The only title being defended on the Worlds Collide card is the Reina De Reinas Championship currently held by La Catalina.

She won the belt from Flammer at TripleMania, so she is still just weeks into her first reign, but Perez is looking to dethrone her and bring new gold to Judgment Day.

This is going to be a fun and competitive match, but the outcome seems clear. WWE has already started featuring Catalina on NXT and the main roster since she won the belt, so she has clearly won management over and become a priority.

WWE is going to want to keep her looking strong, so she is going to have a successful title defense this weekend against an opponent who is capable of bringing the best out of her.

Prediction: Catalina retains

Worlds Collide: The Main Event

CM Punk will appear at his first Worlds Collide event this weekend when he teams with Rey and Americano to take on Dirty Dom, Omos and McDonagh.

This is one of those matches that might seem a bit random to throw Punk into, but adding his main event status to the show can't be seen as a bad thing.

Not only does this continue Dom's feud with Americano, but it also brings him and his dad back together after not sharing a ring for quite some time.

This match feels built to give the crowd a happy ending, so the clear choice is Punk, Rey and Americano scoring the win, with McDonagh likely taking the fall so Omos and Dom can remain somewhat protected.

Prediction: Rey, Punk and Americano win

Worlds Collide: The Lucha Bros vs. Los Perros Del Mol

Penta and Rey Fenix have been kept apart for most of their WWE careers thus far, but The Lucha Bros will reunite this weekend when they take on Daga and Berto, who are part of a stable that goes by the name Los Perros Del Mol in AAA.

Even with LPDM holding the AAA trios titles, this feels like a slam dunk for Penta and Fenix.

Penta has been pushed hard in recent weeks as a potential top star, and Fenix has been gaining momentum, too. Their reunion will be seen as a special moment for this event, so having them lose wouldn't help anyone.

Prediction: The Lucha Bros

Worlds End: The Rest of the Card

Jack Cartwheel vs. Dragon Lee

This is the only men's singles match on the card, and it's sure to be a banger. Lee and Cartwheel are both gifted high-flyers who might just steal the whole show. As great as Jack is, Lee feels like a higher priority for WWE at the moment.

Prediction: Dragon Lee

La Parka, Mr. Iguana, Adelicious and Mascarita Sagrada vs. The Vanity Project and Mini Abismo Negro

This eight-person tag match is almost guaranteed to deliver some entertaining action. Either team could realistically win because the result won't have a big impact on future booking, so the best choice would be to give the babyface team the W to pop the crowd.

Prediction: La Parka, Mr. Iguana, Adelicious and Mascarita Sagrada

Los Toxicas vs. Fatal Influence

This women's trios bout features some talented performers, but the only outcome that makes sense is Fatal Influence getting the win. If the team that walks into this match with the U.S. and tag titles ends up losing, it's going to damage their brand.

Prediction: Fatal Influence

Axiom vs. Mini Vikingo vs. EK Prosper vs. Je'Von Evans

This fatal 4-way features talent from across AAA, NXT, Raw and SmackDown, so the winner gets to take some bragging rights back to their respective brand. This is going to be a fast-paced and exciting match regardless of the outcome.

With Evans gaining momentum heading into Money in the Bank, giving him the victory is the most logical decision.

Prediction: Je'Von Evans

All Out: Tag and Trios Action

The Brawling Birds vs. Divine Dominion

After a dominant run as the women's tag team champions, Megan Bayne and Lena Kross lost the belts to Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor. Their rematch will up the stakes with a Street Fight, but the outcome will be the same. Giving the Birds a definitive win will cement their status as the new top duo in the division.

Prediction: Brawling Birds

Swerve and New Level vs. The Demand

Kofi and Austin Creed only just debuted at All In when they won the Trios Championships alongside Swerve, so having them drop the titles so soon would be counterproductive to their push. Ricochet and Gates of Agony will give them a great challenge.

Prediction: Swerve and New Level

Darby Allin and Steven Borden vs. Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight

Steven Borden has only had a few matches in his short career, but AEW is clearly putting him on the fast track to success, so earning a tag title shot with Allin seems like a very real possibility. Fletcher and Knight will make great foils for them and put on a fun show, but Allin and Borden will earn the right to face whoever leaves All Out as the men's tag champs.

Prediction: Allin and Borden

Cope and Cage vs. FTR vs. The Young Bucks

The men's tag titles will be held above the ring in a Chairs, Ladders and Tables match featuring three of the top teams in AEW. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are the current champions, but any of these teams winning seems possible.

FTR only just returned recently, so they don't need to jump right back into being the champions. If the Bucks are truly thinking about retirement as they claim, then giving them one last reign is the right choice.

Prediction: The Young Bucks win the titles

All Out: Women's Title Action

Thekla vs. Willow Nightingale

Two former world champions will compete for a shot at the title currently held by Mercedes Mone when Willow battles the woman she beat for the belt in the first place, Thekla. These two have built this feud into something even more personal than just a shot at the title, so it will likely be a very physical encounter.

Thekla is an incredibly entertaining performer, but Willow has the deeper story with Mercedes, so having her earn the title shot is the best way to go right now.

Prediction: Willow Nightingale

Persephone vs. TBD

The TBS title will be on the line when Persephone holds an open challenge this weekend. There are plenty of current stars who would be great here, such as Queen Aminata or Athena, but this feels like the perfect place to debut an incoming act.

Kairi Sane is expected to arrive in AEW soon, and a great way to introduce her would be having her challenge for the TBS title. Britt Baker can help Persy cheat to win to keep Sane protected, but it would get a much bigger pop to have Kairi win gold in her debut.

Prediction: Kairi Sane wins the TBS title

All Out: Men's Midcard Titles

Andrade El Idolo vs. Pac

One of the matches with the most potential to steal the show will see Andrade put the national title on the line against Pac. This is going to be a hell of a match, and while it would be great to see Pac get a singles title again, El Idolo is on too much of a hot streak to take the belt off him now.

Not only has he been great since winning the national title, but he currently has a guaranteed shot at the world title in his possession. Giving him a strong title defense at All Out will keep his push strong heading into the end of 2026.

Prediction: Andrade El Idolo

Kazuchika Okada vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Under normal circumstances, we would pick Okada to retain in this match, but something tells us Ciampa is going to end up leaving the PPV with a belt around his waist.

On Wednesday, Ciampa promised to bring a version of The Psycho Killer that nobody has ever seen before. It genuinely feels like AEW wants him to be successful, and giving him a big win over someone on the level of Okada would be a fantastic way to do that.

Prediction: Tommaso Ciampa wins the international title

All Out: The Main Event

The men's world title will be on the line when Will Ospreay battles his former Death Rider mentor, Jon Moxley.

Ospreay winning the belt in front of his home country at All In was a career-defining moment, but in some ways, Moxley feels like the final boss of his story.

Beating Omega won him the title, but beating Moxley is what will allow him to prove he deserves to lead AEW as its top champion.

Mox will push Billy Goat to his limits, but the champion will ultimately prevail and leave All Out with his first successful PPV title defense.

Prediction: Will Ospreay
