WWE's Bizarre Oba Femi Plan, Penta Stays Red-Hot, A New Star Emerges and more Raw Fallout

The September 21 edition of Raw on Netflix from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas featured shocking moments and two Money in the Bank qualifiers.

Roxanne Perez defeated Iyo Sky and La Catalina to qualify for the women's MITB. Meanwhile, 946 attacked and abducted Solo Sikoa, costing him his ladder match qualifier.

Penta stepped up in Sikoa's place and qualified for the ladder match over Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee. Stephanie Vaquer also announced she would fight both Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch for the Women's World Championship soon.

Penta on Track to Be World Champion in the Next Year

Since Penta's show-stopping performance against Roman Reigns last week, the luchador has been the talk of WWE.

It was easy to question what was next after he was so close to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. The answer was Money in the Bank.

The luchador enters the men's Money in the Bank ladder match with the most momentum, and that is typically a good sign of the eventual winner.

While Bron Breakker or Trick Williams could also make sense, Penta is the one man in this field that feels destined to be world champion in the next year.

Even without MITB, Penta's name should be lined up for 2027, possibly even getting that win as early as WrestleMania 43.

Roxanne Perez is New Women's Money in the Bank Favorite

While Roxanne Perez was not the favorite going into a triple threat qualifier that also featured Iyo Sky, her victory sets her up as the new favorite to win the ladder match.

Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and Jacy Jayne all feel too fresh to be on track for a world title run. The Prodigy though has waited her turn and played her role well to date.

As the forgotten woman in The Judgment Day, she could instantly become a threat by winning Money in the Bank, creating a constant problem for even her own stablemate Liv Morgan.

The win could be the catalyst for change in The Judgment Day where Perez is able to take the Women's World Championship instead of Liv. Perhaps WWE would even set up The Prodigy to cash in on Liv after she reclaims the gold.

No matter what, Perez as Mrs. MITB is too good a story to pass up. The 24-year-old star would instantly become one of WWE's most important women for the next decade.

La Catalina on the Fast Track to Main Roster Success

The new AAA Reina de Reinas champion is already working Raw and not in Mexico. The Chilean star was positioned as a star-in-the-making in Texas.

That rise up the ranks should continue for Catalina, who is a star in look and performance.

While she is necessary to AAA's limited women's division, Raw is also limited on women and could bring Catalina in regularly as a credible threat to anyone.

This also gives AAA another recognizable face to the larger WWE Universe, positioning her as a must-watch star.

WWE should consider bringing in more women from AAA on occasion, especially Las Tóxicas as more stars to freshen up the women's division.

Becky Lynch Should Never Be a Heel Ever Again

The latest heel run for Becky Lynch went as usual for The Man. She found success while trying her best to elevate the talent around her.

However, Lynch was never the top star that WWE needed, and that has quickly changed with her return to a babyface role.

The crowd wants to embrace and elevate The Man, and her natural charm on the microphone is more suited to a crowd-favorable reaction.

At 39 years old, Lynch is older than many women that have already retired in WWE, but she is still obviously working at her best on the mic and in the ring.

Even if she chooses to work well into her 40s, The Man should not return to a heel role again. This is the perfect veteran face to work off anyone in the women's division.

WWE needs her star power maximized in order to highlight the next generation that want to reach for her enduring level of success.

WWE's Flawed Plan For Oba Femi

WWE is delaying the inevitable crowning of Oba Femi as a world champion. His immediate problem is The Vision.

It now looks like The Ruler has some help in the form of Je'Von Evans, a fellow NXT call-up that he has faced many times in the ring.

All indications are that Oba and Je'Von will work together against The Vision, and that should include going after the World Tag Team Championships.

These two were the generational rivalry of their NXT era and should also have strong chemistry as teammates.

While this will work for the short term, it does clearly show that WWE is simply delaying the inevitable.

Both Oba and Je'Von could be singles champions and likely will be in the future, but much like Cody Rhodes between WrestleMania 39 and 40, The Ruler could go on a tag team side question simply to pass the time.
