WNBA Playoff Picture 2026, Updated Standings and Bracket Predictions for Final Week

The eight teams going to the WNBA playoffs have already been determined, but the fight is still on for postseason position as the league gets into its final week of play.

With the end of the regular season approaching on Thursday, here's a look at the current standings.

While the Minnesota Lynx are still in control of the top seed, it's far from a guarantee that they'll keep it through the end of the week. The Lynx will face Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever twice this week, and the Golden State Valkyries will be looking for them to slip up.

The Valkyries, meanwhile, have a relatively easy slate this week, taking on two non-playoff teams in the Portland Fire and Los Angeles Sparks. Golden State is looking to make a deep playoff run in its second-ever season, and securing the top seed would go a long way.

Like the Valkyries, the Atlanta Dream are hoping to jump up in the standings, and a win over the New York Liberty on Monday helps them get closer to third place while extending their lead on the No. 5 Fever.

The bottom four teams are all within a game or less of each other, so things could look much different by the end of the week.

Typically, the end of the season gives top teams the chance to relax a bit before the start of the playoffs, but that is far from the case this year. It certainly makes for an interesting final week of action ahead of what should be an exciting postseason.
