Week 3 NFL Odds, Spreads, Early Locks and Best Bets on the Schedule
The second week of the 2026 NFL season didn't bring as much clarity as fans might have wanted. We saw teams that looked dominant in Week 1, like the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears, fall back to earth, while the string of upsets continued.
Injuries have further complicated the football landscape, as star quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels both went down in Week 2.
It's still a bit tricky to know which teams are good, which are not, and which are going to be healthy heading into Week 3. However, we'll examine what transpired in Week 2, dive into the projected matchups, and identify the most favorable early lines from FanDuel Sportsbook here.
Packers -6.5 vs. Falcons

If there's one team that has looked truly bad in each of the first two weeks, it's the Atlanta Falcons. Poor quarterback play has been a big part of that, though, as the top two signal-callers on the depth chart, Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr., have been unavailable due to injury.
Replacement signal-callers Cooper Rush and Jack Strand have not fared well. The two combined for just 145 passing yards and three interceptions in the Week 2 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
While Atlanta has announced that it will start Penix against the Green Bay Packers, it's impossible to trust him on the road in Lambeau. Penix hasn't played since suffering last year's torn ACL, and he didn't play particularly well in 2025 before the injury.
The Packers haven't looked like Super Bowl contenders over the first two weeks, but they have one big asset that the Falcons lack: Quarterback stability. Jordan Love and a rowdy crowd for Thursday's home opener should be enough to justify any line under a full touchdown.
Seahawks -6.5 at Commanders

Daniels' injury is a massive blow for the Commanders. Washington played competitively against the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys while their star signal-caller was in the lineup, but it faded down the stretch against Dallas on Sunday after Daniels exited.
Daniels is set to miss some time with a dislocated left elbow.
Marcus Mariota played respectably in Daniels' stead on Sunday, throwing for 111 yards and a touchdown. However, he didn't bring the same spark to Washington's offense, which allowed Dallas to run away for a 37-20 victory.
The Commanders' defense, meanwhile, has looked very shaky through two weeks. That's a major problem with the Seattle Seahawks coming to town. Seattle's offense has been steady behind backup quarterback Drew Lock, and its defense has looked championship-caliber.
In a battle of backup QBs, the Seahawks have a very strong edge. Even on a cross-country road trip, Seattle should escape with a touchdown victory.
Bills -7 vs. Chargers

The Buffalo Bills haven't exactly looked unstoppable through two weeks, but their offense has looked close to it. Josh Allen and the Bills shredded the Houston Texans defense in a back-and-forth Week 1 battle, and they pulled away for a 41-31 win over the Detroit Lions last Thursday.
The Los Angeles Chargers, meanwhile, have largely looked lost in double-digit losses to the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders. Justin Herbert and new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel are still trying to find their rhythm, and L.A.'s defense has not looked like the playoff-caliber unit it was a year ago.
There's a good chance that this line would be much larger if Buffalo wasn't dealing with the injuries of standout defensive tackle Ed Oliver and No. 1 receiver D.J. Moore.
According to ESPN's Nick Suss, the Bills plan to "slow play" the recoveries of Oliver and Moore.
Buffalo may not be at full strength in Week 3, but it still has Josh Allen and a massive home-field advantage. With extra time to prepare for the Chargers, the Bills should pull away for the second straight week.
