Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chiefs Make NFL History in OT Win vs. Daniel Jones, Colts

Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce combined to pull off something that has never been done before in Sunday's 33-30 overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Mahomes continues to shine in prime time and he now has the longest winning streak for a QB in overtime contests.

Mahomes threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns, while Kelce caught nine passes for 101 yards and one score. According to Opta, this was the first time a team had a quarterback 30 or older eclipse 300 yards and a tight end 35 or older go for 100 yards receiving.

Kelce's stat line was notable in another regard:

"I'm grateful I'm on this team right now," the 11-time Pro Bowler told ESPN's Scott Van Pelt (4:05 mark). "This team, we go out and we play hard for each other every single play. There was never a doubt we were gonna find a way to get a win tonight."

Mahomes' performance was a strong statement to those who wondered what kind of quarterback he'd be after making a relatively quick recovery from a torn ACL.

The season is only two games old. Teams that start well can fall off and those that start poorly can turn things around.

But Kansas City's 2-0 record looks like a warning sign to the AFC and the rest of the league. With Mahomes healthy, the Chiefs are back among the contenders.
