Watch Kelsey Mitchell Set WNBA Record for Most Points Scored in Single-Season on Video for Fever

Kelsey Mitchell's historic 2026 continued on Friday with the Indiana Fever star setting a new WNBA single-season record for points scored.

Mitchell's three-pointer in the third quarter against the Toronto Tempo gave her 1,023 points for the season, surpassing the previous mark of 1,021 set by A'ja Wilson in 2024.

The bucket also brought Mitchell up to 22 points in the game, extending her streak of consecutive games with at least 20 points to 25. She has scored at least 15 points in every game so far this season.

Wilson previously held the record for most consecutive 20-point games with 20 set across the 2023 and '24 seasons.

This season marks the third consecutive year in which Mitchell has increased her scoring output. She entered the day averaging 25.0 points per game, second in the league.

Wilson leads the WNBA with 26.1 points per contest, but she missed three games early in the season due to an ankle injury that have kept her total point output behind Mitchell.

Mitchell and Wilson are the only players in WNBA history with at least 1,000 points in a single season. The two players are in a race for the 2026 scoring title.

Wilson entered Friday just 10 points behind Mitchell (1,001 to 991), but the Las Vegas Aces already played one more game than the Fever coming into today.

Both women figure to play out the final three games of the regular season with their teams fighting for playoff position. Las Vegas (28-13) is one game up in the loss column on the Fever (26-14) entering play on Friday.

A victory by Indiana would put it into a tie with the Atlanta Dream for the No. 4 seed, which is crucial because it determines home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
