The 2026 WNBA playoffs are drawing closer.

With less than one week remaining in the regular season, all eight playoff teams are already set. Still, the exact seeding of the squads that advanced to the postseason has yet to be determined.

Here's a look at how things currently stand.

Updated WNBA Playoff Picture

  1. Minnesota Lynx (31-10)
  2. Golden State Valkyries (29-11)
  3. Las Vegas Aces (28-13)
  4. Atlanta Dream (27-14)
  5. Indiana Fever (27-14)
  6. New York Liberty (25-16)
  7. Washington Mystics (25-16)
  8. Dallas Wings (25-16)

The Fever avoided falling a full game behind the Dream in the standings with a 103-85 win over the Toronto Tempo on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Liberty wrapped up a 93-81 victory over the Lynx to move above the Mystics and Wings near the bottom of the playoff picture.

Minnesota still sits atop the standings for the second consecutive year, however. Even with Friday's loss, the Lynx just need to win two of their final three games in order to clinch the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs. They currently hold a 1.5-game lead over Golden State at No. 2.

While the Valkyries are chasing Minnesota for the No. 1 spot in the league, they're also attempting to avoid falling down the standings with a 1.5-game lead over the Aces at No. 3.

With Golden State's next win or a loss by the Atlanta Dream, the Valkyries can clinch a top-4 seed as well as home-court advantage for the first round of the playoffs.

The middle of the playoff picture is still uncertain, as only three games separate the No. 3 Aces from the No. 8 Wings.

Among the teams in that range, the Fever own a difficult remaining schedule with two matchups against the Lynx and one game against the Mystics.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas and Dallas have a relatively easy slate to close out the regular season. The Wings have two games against the Phoenix Mercury and one game against the Seattle Storm while the Aces play the Mercury, Storm and Los Angeles Sparks.

Phoenix, Seattle and Los Angeles own a combined record of 38-85 this year.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see the Aces maintain their status at the No. 3 spot, while the Wings could rise above the Mystics and Liberty before the playoffs.
