Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars officially kicked off on Tuesday as part of a two-night premiere event.

Several athletes joined the cast including Olympic gold medal-winning figure skater Amber Glenn, two-time Paralympic gold medalist Ezra Frech and Savannah Bananas baseball player Jackson Olson.

The male celebrities started their quest for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy on Tuesday while the female celebrities took the ballroom floor on Wednesday.

Glenn and her professional partner, Pasha Pashkov, performed a cha-cha dance to "Smooth" by Santana featuring Rob Thomas. The routine included a solo section for Glenn in which she showcased her figure skating background.

All three judges gave them a score of six points, resulting in an overall score of 18 out of a possible 30 points.

Frech and his partner, Daniella Karagach, performed a tango to "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson on the first night of action.

Their routine generated plenty of praise, as they received a score of 20 out of a potential 30 points from the judges. It represented the second-highest score of the night.

As for Olson and his partner, Emma Slater, they performed a cha-cha to "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls. Olson took the floor in a baseball uniform, singing along with the music during the routine.

Judges gave them a score of 15 out of 30 points for their performance.

Glenn, Frech and Olson all survived elimination and advanced to next week.
