Malik Nabers Reveals Deciding Factor in Playing Giants' Week 1 Win vs. Cowboys After Injury Rehab

Malik Nabers was on the fence about playing in the New York Giants' season opener against the Dallas Cowboys as he continued his rehab from a torn ACL, but the wide receiver ultimately decided to suit up.

For Nabers, the decision to play was made not long before kickoff. He even told his family not to come to the game incase he decided not play.

"The deciding factor was just when I got out there, I just felt good. I got a little chill through my body," Nabers said. "And I was like, 'Yeah, it's time.'"

Nabers added that going through his warmups made him feel confident enough to play.

"I felt really good. Running around, I was catching really good, stretched really good, warmed up pretty well," he said. "I just felt like it was time to go."

Nabers put together a solid outing in his first game since last September, hauling in six catches for 69 yards in the 28-20 win over the Giants' divisional rival.

Nabers had a tremendous rookie season in 2024 when he recorded 1,204 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, but a torn ACL in late September last year meant that he missed most of his second season.

Now, Nabers is back and looking to pick up where he left off. Taking down the Cowboys was certainly a good start.
