Tucker Kraft, Packers Reportedly Agree to Contract Extension Ahead of 2026 NFL Season

One day before their regular-season opener against the Minnesota Vikings, the Green Bay Packers reportedly agreed to a contract extension with tight end Tucker Kraft.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Packers and Kraft reached a four-year, $75 million deal that could be worth up to $92 million. The contract also includes a $26.5 million signing bonus.

A 2023 third-round draft pick out of South Dakota State, Kraft had been set to become a free agent at the end of the 2026 campaign.

After breaking out in 2024 with 50 receptions for 707 yards and seven touchdowns, Kraft was well on his way to a career year last season.

Through eight games, Kraft had registered 32 catches for 489 yards and six touchdowns, putting him on pace for likely Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors.

However, Kraft's season was cut short in Week 9 when he suffered a torn ACL against the Carolina Panthers.

Kraft spent the offseason working his way back from the injury, and he appears to be fully healthy, as he is not listed on the Packers' injury report ahead of their Week 1 game against the Vikings on Sunday.

Following the departure of wide receivers Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks during the offseason, Kraft figures to be among quarterback Jordan Love's top targets this season, along with the wideout trio of Christian Watson, Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden.

Still just 25 years of age, Kraft's best years may very well be ahead of him, especially if he shows no ill effects from the torn ACL.
