Aryna Sabalenka is now just one win away from becoming the third woman in the Open Era to claim three consecutive US Open titles.

The world No. 1 overpowered Jessica Pegula in straight sets to advance to her eighth consecutive hard-court Grand Slam final.

In the first set, both players held serve with ease until Sabalenka secured a decisive late break to win it.

In the second set, Sabalenka elevated her performance, dominating with her serve-plus-one tactic and relentlessly pressuring Pegula's second serve.

Sabalenka won 14 of 19 points on Pegula's second serve and hit 29 winners.

It's the third straight year that Sabalenka has dashed Pegula's title hopes.
