Angel Reese's Updated Box Score Stats at FIBA World Cup As USA Advances to KO Bracket

The United States is on its way to the knockout round after a dominant win over Czechia in the FIBA World Cup.

Angel Reese put together her best game of the tournament so far, posting 13 points, six boards and three steals off the bench.

While Reese has been coming off the bench through the first three games, she's making her impact felt when she's on the court. Monday was a prime example of that as she offered solid minutes off the bench in the 105-64 rout.

The United States' performance on Monday was a major improvement over its last game, when it barely snuck past Italy 55-52. The U.S. cruised to a win in its first game against China, winning 94-61 behind a double-double from Caitlin Clark.

Through three games, the United States is looking for a true star to emerge. While the roster is stacked with talent, no one player has jumped out as the leader of the team.

That's a good thing in some regards, but the United States needs a player who can take over when things get tough. Perhaps that will be a young star like Clark or Paige Bueckers, or a veteran like Breanna Stewart or Napheesa Collier.

Now having punched its ticket to the next round, the United States will face the winner of Japan and Hungary in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
