2026 Fantasy Football 4-Round Mock Draft with Notable Picks

Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season has arrived.

Sort of.

There will be actual games played on both Wednesday and Thursday night this week. And then, it'll be radio silence until everyone else gets rolling next Sunday and Monday.

Still, the wait is down to days and will soon shift to hours, then minutes, then seconds—and then boom, the opening kick gets booted, and everyone starts playing for real.

Fantasy football managers should be in fine-tuning mode with their draft plans, then, so let's help with the strategic refinement by running through a simulated four-round, 12-team PPR mock and highlighting notable picks in every round.

Round 1

While there's nothing outlandish on the board here, there are a few notable things to spotlight.

First is the amount of trust being placed in McCaffrey as the fourth overall pick. He is obviously talented enough to live up to that billing—he ranked second among non-quarterbacks in fantasy points last season—but his worry list is not a short one. The red flags almost raise themselves for a 30-year-old back with a long injury history who's coming off of a 450-touch season.

The other interesting wrinkle is St. Brown landing ahead of Smith-Njigba. St. Brown is one of the safest options in fantasy, but he also has a lot more competition for targets than JSN, who just turned 163 targets into 119 receptions for 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

Nothing really stands out about the receivers taken here, save perhaps for the confidence expressed in Nabers. He could be an awesome value as the 20th player taken, but he has often landed a little later to account for possible turbulence upon his return from a torn ACL and meniscus.

As for running backs, this seems a touch late on Hampton and a little early for Williams.

Hampton could be a fantasy monster with offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel now at the controls. Williams, meanwhile, could face increasing competition for field time from Blake Corum, and if things shift more toward the latter, the former will have trouble living up to a second-round cost.

This is—as it should be—the first round not exclusively populated with running backs and receivers. Deviations are always notable, so let's focus on the quarterbacks and tight ends.

Fantasy analysts routinely advise managers to wait on quarterbacks, so they might label a third-round cost on any as too rich. If anyone is worth it, though, it's Allen. And the idea of taking him ahead of a long wait between picks is a fun one. It's harder to get behind third-round costs for Jackson and Maye, who don't carry the same guaranteed-greatness security.

As for the tight ends, this feels right for both McBride and Bowers. Folks will disagree on the order, but when they're so tightly bunched, it's just a matter of preference. And this just happens to align with our particular preference.

The mock drafters did well enough in the first three rounds that there aren't any major bargains here. That said, the price tag on Williams looks pretty great. He's a high-volume back in a high-volume offense; he probably belongs in the middle of the third round, so he's a solid value near the top of the fourth.

Loveland feels right as a TE3 with an entire tier to himself. He doesn't have the track record needed to crack the elite ranks at the position, but his ceiling stretches higher than anyone behind him.

Daniels being the lone quarterback taken in this round feels...fine. It's not a move we would make, but if he's active as a rusher, he should be a high-end quarterback. This still seems a round or two too early, but the same applied to Jackson and Maye, so that could've inflated all of the non-Allen quarterbacks in this mock.
