Predictions for Cody Rhodes, Oba Femi, WWE Sunday Night's Main Event Match Card

This weekend will feature an edition of Sunday Night's Main Event that feels more like a PLE than a TV special based on how it has been booked.

We will get a dose of celebrity wrestling when Lil Yachty attempts to survive five minutes against Baron Corbin in an effort to earn Trick Williams a shot at the U.S. title.

Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and their new friend Tatum Paxley, will take on Jade Cargill, B-Fab and Michin in a six-woman tag match.

The two biggest bouts on the card are major grudge matches. Randy Orton will battle Cody Rhodes, and Bron Breakker will step into the ring with Oba Femi.

Let's take a look at each match and make some predictions.

Flair, Bliss and Paxley vs. Cargill and The Baddies

The six-woman tag match is probably the easiest outcome to predict for one simple reason.

Paxley is just getting her feet wet on the main roster, and management is going to want to get her off to a good start, so having her be the one to score the win for her team seems like the most logical outcome.

There are no titles or major stakes in this match, so B-Fab or Michin will likely eat the pin so Cargill can remain protected.

It's going to be interesting to see how Paxley is factored into the women's division once she is on her own.

Prediction: Paxley, Bliss and Flair win

Lil Yachty vs. Baron Corbin

If Lil Yachty can survive for five minutes against Corbin, then Williams will earn a rematch for the United States Championship.

On paper, this should be a one-sided fight that ends with Corbin crushing the non-fighter, but that is not how things work in WWE.

This is going to be a match with some comedy to stretch out the time, and there is little doubt in anyone's mind that Yachty will last the full five minutes to earn Trick a title shot.

We're definitely going to see Yachty's commitment to bumping tested here, but it could be fun if he is willing to put in as much effort as past celebrity wrestlers like Bad Bunny.

Prediction: Yachty survives five minutes

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton

When Orton fought Rhodes in their last encounter, he came up short because the title was on the line and The American Nightmare was still a top priority.

Now that Rhodes no longer has a belt, he can afford to take some losses now and then. He no longer needs that plot armor the world title brings.

The Viper could use an important victory to help him get back on track toward title No. 15. A win over his former best friend would do exactly that.

The only way this ends without Orton winning is if someone like Kevin Owens gets involved for some reason, but he has bigger fish to fry at the moment.

Prediction: Orton wins

Bron Breakker vs. Oba Femi

Breakker and Femi have been earmarked as the future of WWE for quite some time, and they will finally step into the ring for a singles match on Sunday.

They may share some similarities, but their paths couldn't be any different. Femi is a self-made Superstar who impressed WWE and worked his way up the ladder quickly. Breakker, on the other hand, is a legacy as a member of the Steiner family, but his skills and accolades are no less impressive due to his lineage.

This is the hardest outcome to predict because there are a few ways WWE could go with it. It could have either man win cleanly; Breakker could win thanks to interference from The Vision; or it could be The Vision who accidentally cost him the match, creating a rift in the group.

It has seemed like Breakker has had one foot out the door with the group for a while, so this would be an easy way to facilitate that, and for that reason, we are going with Femi to win as a result of Austin Theory and Logan Paul messing something up.
