For the second time in the last three weeks, Scottie Scheffler secured a victory on the PGA Tour.

After winning the FedEx St. Jude Championship earlier this month, Scheffler won the TOUR Championship following a phenomenal final round on Sunday. He surged past Viktor Hovland and finished 16-under par.

The win also secured the FedEx Cup for Scheffler.

Hovland came into Sunday's final round leading the pack but struggled throughout the day, carding three bogeys with just one birdie. That opened the door for Scheffler to pass him, and he made the most of the opportunity.

Scheffler picked up three birdies on the front nine before adding three more on the back nine. He had two bogeys, but his outstanding play otherwise helped him secure the victory by two shots.

Ryan Gerard was also in the mix coming into the final round, but a lousy start quickly hurt his chances. He had a double bogey on the first hole and managed just one birdie on the day to finish third.

Both Gerard and Hovland finished two-over par 70 on Sunday, making things much easier for Scheffler down the stretch.

Scheffler had a great start to the season when he won The American Express in January, but unlike last season, he didn't stack up wins with ease. Until his performance at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, he hadn't won an event, though he finished near the top of the leaderboard in countless tournaments.

He battled through hand, foot and mouth disease at the BMW Championship last week to stay in the mix for the FedEx Cup, and he secured it with a brilliant showing on Sunday.

Scheffler joins Rory McIlroy (3) and Tiger Woods (2) as the only golfers to win the FedEx Cup multiple times.
