Roger Federer Inducted into Hall of Fame, Top Photos, Videos and Quotes from Tennis Icon's Speech

Roger Federer was officially inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island on Saturday.

Federer was recognized for his legendary career with a ceremony on the historic Horseshoe Court.

His wife, Mirka, introduced him at the event.

He followed it up with an emotional speech in which he detailed his journey from childhood to his professional tennis career and thanked the friends, family and fellow players that helped him along the way.

"This boy from Basel thanks you for the incredible honor and I thank all of you for sharing the journey that brought us together," Federer said (27:47 mark).

Federer also received video messages from friends and rivals including Novak Djokovic and Grigor Dimitrov as they congratulated him on his Hall of Fame induction.

Federer retired from tennis professionally in 2022, ending a stellar career in which he racked up 103 ATP Tour singles titles and 20 Grand Slam championships. He captured two Olympic medals as well.

Federer also spent 237 weeks at No. 1 in the ATP rankings from 2004-08, representing the longest streak of all time.

Now, his tennis legacy is reflected in the Hall of Fame.
