Cubs' Pete Crow-Armstrong Hits 3 HR Amid NL MVP Race With Ohtani, Box Score Player Stats vs. Reds

Pete Crow-Armstrong put together a dominant performance at the plate during the Chicago Cubs' lopsided 17-5 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday.

Crow-Armstrong went 4-for-6 with three home runs and six runs batted in. It marked the first three-homer game of his career.

The 24-year-old continued to make his case for National League MVP honors as he battles with Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani for the award down the stretch of the regular season.

Crow-Armstrong is attempting to become the first Cubs player to be named NL MVP since Kris Bryant in 2016.

In 135 games heading into Saturday's action, he racked up seven triples, 27 doubles, 32 stolen bases, 33 home runs and 83 RBI while boasting a .277/.374/.548 slash line.

Crow-Armstrong also leads all MLB players with 7.9 WAR.

He's headlined a Cubs lineup that has thrived all year, ranking No. 1 in the majors with 720 runs scored.

Chicago currently sits at No. 2 in the NL Central standings with a 77-59 record while also holding the No. 1 NL Wild Card spot.
