TOUR Championship Leaderboard 2026 Review of Top Scorecards, Player Stats on Day 2

Ryan Gerard and Viktor Hovland share the 36-hole lead at the Tour Championship.

Gerard carded his second straight 65 to move up to 10-under for the tournament, while Hovland used a 66 to reach the tie for first.

The top of the leaderboard is crowded after the co-leaders. Two players sit at nine-under, another two are at eight-under and four more sit at seven-under.

First-round leader Min Woo Lee is not one of the golfers. He shot a three-over 73 to drop five shots back of the leaders.

Ryan Gerard, Viktor Hovland Tied for Lead

Ryan Gerard and Viktor Hovland are level at 10-under after Friday.

Gerard shot a five-under 65, his second of the tournament, to become the first player in the clubhouse with a double-digit under-par score.

Gerard turned in five birdies and 11 pars after he bogeyed the opening hole. He finished off his round with a birdie on the 18th.

Hovland completed his day the same way. He had four total birdies on the back nine.

Hovland experienced an up-and-down first five holes with two birdies and two bogeys. He leveled things out after that and used his run on the back nine to finish with a four-under 66 for the round.

Gerard and Hovland will be in Saturday's final group, but they'll have plenty of chasers from the groups in front, including Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa.

Cameron Young Surges Into Contention With 62

Cameron Young produced the lowest round of the day, and in turn, surged into contention for the win.

Young produced an eight-under 62 that featured seven birdies across the first 11 holes.

Young gave one shot back to the course with a bogey on the 12th hole. That was the only hiccup on the scorecard.

To finish the round, Young turned in an eagle on the par-five 18th to reach eight-under for the day and the tournament.

Friday's round was a welcome sight for Young, who tied for 39th and 37th in the last two weeks.

The 62 could provide a vital boost of confidence ahead of the weekend with the $10 million prize on the line.

Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa Among Chasing Pack

Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa are among the big names near the top of the leaderboard.

Scheffler inched up to eight-under for the tournament with a three-under 67. He had more of a rollercoaster round than expected with six birdies and three bogeys.

Morikawa sits one shot back of the leaders following a three-under 67 of his own.

Morikawa carried a more steady hand across his round in comparison to Scheffler. He rolled in three birdies and produced a par on the other 15 holes.

Morikawa and Scheffler have to be viewed as the two biggest threats to the leaders going into Saturday. Young could be placed into that category as well at eight-under.
