Ward has a new offensive coordinator for his second season in Tennessee after the team hired former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll on Jan. 27.
During the Titans' practice on Thursday, Ward finished 21-of-34 in the seven-on-seven and team periods combined while tossing three touchdowns compared to one interception (h/t Jim Wyatt of the team's official website).
Ward and Williams share similarities, as they were both the No. 1 overall picks in their respective drafts.
The two signal-callers also faced plenty of pressure in the pocket as rookies, with Williams getting sacked a league-leading 68 times in his inaugural year as a Bear.
Ward was also sacked 55 times last season, tied for the most among all players.
Williams looked much more comfortable during his second year in Chicago, as the team brought in head coach Ben Johnson and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle ahead of the 2025 season. The Bears ended up making the playoffs with an 11-6 record while boasting the NFL's No. 9 scoring offense.
Tennessee will be looking to make a similar leap during its 2026 campaign with Ward and Daboll leading the way.
