New Fantasy Football 2026 Dynasty Rankings, Cheat Sheet and League Names
While re-draft fantasy football leagues treat each NFL season as their own, unique stories, dynasty leagues are different.
In a dynasty format, NFL campaigns become mere chapters of a years-long (or, for the real sickos like myself, decades-long) journey.
As such, everything needs adjustingโrankings, position values, draft approaches and even the general character of the league as conveyed through its name. If you're a dynasty-drafter preparing for the upcoming season, we're here to help with overall dynasty rankings, cheat sheet positional breakdowns and finally tips for crafting the right league name.

Naming Your League
3 of 3.jpg?w=2560)
What's in a name? Well, for fantasy football leagues, quite a bit actually. Or plenty if you craft the right one, at least.
Step one is nailing down the tone and the theme. Do you want something serious and official sounding, or are you going for a chuckle? Then, figure out if you're going for a general, perhaps openly inviting nameโnewcomers won't feel like they're missing a joke if they're joining the Waiver Warriors or Armchair Experts, for instanceโor if you want something more specific. If specifics are the aim, look for something you share, like a location and maybe a specific NFL allegiance, for instance. Say you're all Green Bay Packers fans, then maybe collectively you're the Lambeau Leapers Collective (LLC, for short).
Or maybe you all came together as fans of movies, video games or even non-football sports. If you're a bunch of Marvel fans, maybe the league is as simple as The Multiverse. For old-school gamers, you might be the Tecmo Bowl All-Stars. If baseball is a shared first love, maybe it's The Extra Innings Endzone.
Only you, of course, know the particulars with your league mates, so you'll know better than us what actually works best. But, honestly, give this some real thought. It might seem like such an afterthought when putting a league together, but it can be a legitimate point of pride. And if it gives your league an edge over others played in by fellow managers, that can lead to a more eventful and therefore enjoyable experience.
