AEW's Athena Reveals Asthma Attack During ROH Match as New Video Surfaces
All Elite Wrestling star and Ring of Honor women's world champion Athena divulged Saturday that she suffered an asthma attack in the middle of her main event match against Hazuki at Death Before Dishonor on Friday.
In response to a viral video of Billie Starkz humorously yelling at a fan who called for Athena to get up while she was laying down outside the ring, Athena made a post on X about the asthma attack:
As part of her post, Athena thanked the ROH staff for the "quick response" to her episode.
Athena, who previously wrestled under the name Ember Moon in WWE, is the active and longest-reigning ROH women's world champion of all time, having held the title for well over 1,300 days.
Despite the asthma attack, she had yet another successful title defense against Hazuki on Friday and continued her run as one of the most dominant champions in all of pro wrestling.
