A pair of premier guards matched up on Thursday as Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings downed Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever 91-85.
The Fever came in as 2.5-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, but the Wings were looking to get a big win to improve their playoff position.
Bueckers had a bit of an off night, but luckily she had Jessica Sheppard and Arike Ogunbowale to lead the way for Dallas.

Clark likewise struggled a bit in the loss as she couldn't get much going on offense, but Kelsey Mitchell continued her tremendous season and kept the Fever alive for most of the night.

Dallas held a steady lead for most of the fourth quarter, but Indiana made a push in the final minutes. Ultimately, the Fever came up just short as the Wings were able to hold off the late run.
With the win, Dallas improved to 21-16 but still sits in eighth place in the WNBA standings. Luckily for the Wings, they're still sitting comfortably ahead of the ninth-place Portland Fire.
The Fever dropped to 24-13 with the loss and are now tied with the Las Vegas Aces for the third-best record in the league, but Indiana is closing in on clinching a playoff berth.
