Jordan Love Talks Packers Mindset for 2026 NFL Season After Playoff Loss to Caleb Williams, Bears

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love revealed that the team is using its Wild Card playoff loss to Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears as fuel heading into the 2026 season.

"Definitely a chip. Like you mentioned, just the way we ended the season losing a lot of our last games, obviously the playoff loss, it just leaves a sour taste in your mouth," Love said during a Wednesday appearance on the Rich Eisen Show (13:45 mark). "So I think the mindset for us, going back to OTAs and obviously the start of training camp, is finish. Every day we've gotta find ways to be at our best. As practice goes on and the days get longer and longer, you've gotta find ways to improve and still be at your best and still lock in with the mindset of finishing the day."

The Packers opened their 2025 campaign with a 9-3-1 record, but ended the regular season on a four-game losing streak.

They eventually suffered a 31-27 loss at the hands of Chicago in the playoffs, as Green Bay was unable to maintain a 21-3 lead at halftime and fell to its NFC North rival.

It's worth noting that the Packers' disappointing finish to the year occurred without Micah Parsons, as the star pass-rusher suffered a torn ACL in Week 15.

Now, Love is looking to help lead Green Bay on a deeper playoff run in his fourth season as a full-time starter under center.

In 15 appearances last year, he completed 66.3 percent of his throws for 3,381 yards and 23 touchdowns compared to six interceptions. Love's 72.7 QBR ranked No. 3 among 28 qualified quarterbacks, via ESPN.

The Packers will begin the 2026 season against the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 13.
