The WNBA All-Star Game is headed to Ballhalla.

Commissioner Cathy Engelbert announced that Chase Center will host the event on July 31, 2027.

"We are thrilled to bring AT&T WNBA All-Star to the San Francisco Bay Area for the first time," she said. "The Golden State Valkyries have brought incredible energy and excitement to the WNBA from the moment they were announced as an expansion team in 2023, and the response from fans across the Bay Area has been remarkable. Valkyries fans have embraced this team with an extraordinary level of passion and enthusiasm, and we can't wait to see that energy on full display for an unforgettable All-Star weekend next summer."

Having the All-Star Game in San Francisco is a reflection of how successful the Golden State Valkyries have been in their first two years of existence. They just punched their ticket to the playoffs for the second time and are on pace to claim the No. 2 seed.

The organization and its fanbase have also established a special atmosphere inside Chase Center. The Valkyries own the highest attendance in the league, and their home-court advantage sets them apart.

Hosting an All-Star Game is something Golden State and its fans have earned.

While there are still plenty of details to finalize between now and next July, the WNBA said it intends to stage its Shooting Stars competition and the Three-Point Contest on July 30.

Fans can expect other events coinciding with All-Star Weekend around San Francisco.

This will be the second time in three years the city welcomes basketball's biggest names. Chase Center was the site for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.
