'No Block, No Rock,' Jeff Hafley Talks Rules for Dolphins WRs in Trending Video

Mike ChiariAug 18, 2026

Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley stressed the importance Tuesday of his wide receivers being willing to block in offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik's system.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Hafley coined the phrase, "No block, no rock," which suggests that the team's wideouts will not be targeted in the passing game unless they are willing to do the dirty work in the run game as well:

Miami's receiving corps is chock full of young and unproven players, all of whom can conceivably ingratiate themselves to Hafley and Slowik by showcasing complete skill sets.

With no unquestioned No. 1 wideout on the team, it sounds like blocking willingness and ability could be a huge deciding factor in which receivers see the field most often for the Dolphins in 2026.
