Caitlin Clark Makes WNBA History with Unprecedented Stats, Where Does Fever Star Rank in MVP Race?
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark earned another small piece of WNBA history with her recent performances during her team's hot stretch.
The three-time All-Star has averaged 26.3 points and 9.4 assists over Indiana's last 11 games. The team noted no other player has put up those numbers over the same number of appearances:

Since the start of July, the Fever have won 12 of 16 games. They rank second in net rating (plus-9.9) across that span, per WNBA.com.
Clark is in the midst of a career year. She's putting up personal bests in points (22.0) and field-goal percentage (45.0), and she's dishing out eight-plus assists for the third straight year.
As well as the 6'0" guard is playing, she's either a distant second or third in the WNBA MVP race.
Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson is in all likelihood headed toward her fifth MVP, which would extend her league record. She's the WNBA's leader in points (26.1) and blocks (2.0) and is tied for third in rebounds (9.6). The 6'4" center has expanded her offensive repertoire as well with her 33 made three-pointers already a career high.
Anything other than a Wilson win will be a surprise in the MVP race.
Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles could wind up second in the voting.
The No. 2 overall pick was critical toward the Lynx hanging near the top of the standings despite missing star Napheesa Collier. It's rare for a first-year player ā a guard no less ā to influence winning basketball in the way Miles has.
Clark's MVP campaign could also run into some trouble if she splits votes with teammate Kelsey Mitchell, who has been equally as dynamic on offense. Mitchell is the Fever's scoring leader at 24.2 points while shooting 50.3 percent from the field, including 43.7 percent from beyond the arc.
The individual accolades could be lacking for Indiana's marquee stars, but they'll probably settle for building on Fever's success from 2025. The team (23-12) is on pace to set a franchise record for wins, having notched 24 victories a season ago, and it looks a strong bet to at least reach the WNBA semifinals again.
