Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
You don't want to read a whole lot into one preseason game. Not only are we talking about a small sample size, but Gray's and White's numbers also came in a meaningless clash.
Particularly with Gray, some fantasy owners in standard 12-team leagues are bound to overreact and draft him as an RB2 or something crazy like that.
But that's not to say you should avoid Gray completely. According to MassLive's Kevin Duffy, the 25-year-old showed up to training camp in great shape:
ESPN.com's Mike Reiss also provided an update on LeGarrette Blount's recovery from a sprained MCL. There's still the slight chance Blount misses the first game or two of the regular season. In the event Blount is injured or underwhelms early on, Gray would be best positioned to capitalize.
Gray is the more attractive draft option unless you're playing in deeper points-per-reception leagues, in which case White might get the edge.
Gray would be worth the risk in the middle of the draft as a flex option, while White doesn't project as much of a factor.
