Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson Practice Schedule Revealed, Latest Rumors on Browns QB Battle
The Cleveland Browns are hoping to gain some more clarity in their quarterback competition this week.
Browns head coach Todd Monken told reporters on Sunday that quarterbacks Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson will alternate days with the starting offense, with Sanders running with the first team on Monday and Wednesday, and Watson taking the reins on Tuesday and Thursday. With Thursday set to be a joint practice with the Buffalo Bills, Monken noted that "really both" Watson and Sanders will split reps with the starters.

One player each NFL team should cut
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Sunday's episode of SportsCenter that "the next six to seven days in Cleveland are huge," and with Sanders set to start the team's second preseason game against Buffalo, he would "suspect" Monken to decide between him and Watson after that contest.
In Saturday's 34-10 preseason loss against the Chicago Bears, Watson had the better day with 126 yards on 11-of-15 passing. Sanders was 6-of-11 for 79 yards and an interception.
While Watson's experience as a veteran gives him an edge over Sanders, the second-year signal-caller has done enough to keep the competition going for at least one more week. Monken and his staff will be watching how both players perform against the Bills before determining who is the best option to lead the Browns.
